Armond WakeUp Releases 40 Days E.P.

Illect Recording artist Armond WakeUp released his 40 Days EP today.  The project is a prelude to the much anticipated Even If I Lose album.  Armond is one of the best rappers you’ve probably never heard of.  The Ohio native doesn’t garner the attention that your favorite rapper for Jesus might, but it’s safe to say he’s probably one of their favorites.  With lines like “they screaming stop the violence, I say we take it by force, before they infiltrate the stained glass and take all our choices” or “what’s lethal the most to me is legal, you ever peered through the peephole of your heroes,” it’s clear that WakeUp isn’t interested in getting you to turn up, but to think and take a look inside yourself.

The project is entirely produced by the soulful Wes Pendelton, who’s produced for notable artists like Swoope, Taelor and Christon Gray.  The project evokes a great deal of emotion and vulnerability, which is nothing new for Armond.  40 Days is definitely worth a listen.
