Dee 1 Drops New FREE Mix-Tape & Talks to CBN About Recent Police Violence

Dee – 1 released a surprise free mixtape on July 7th!  The Project is called Slingshot David and is a prelude to his coming full album scheduled to release in October.  In a recent video interview with CBN (posted below), Dee-1 shares that after recent tragedies in our nation he doubted the timing of this mixtape release.  But, after prayer he was reminded that he was placed in the music industry to be a light and a source of inspiration.  That reminder was all he needed to keep moving forward.

Being a native of Baton Rouge Louisiana, Dee-1 takes a moment in the same video interview share his thoughts about the recent police violence and encourages people to pray for the victims in each situation and also explains why he believes we should pray for the police as well.

“We should be using this as a teachable moment…because if we go through chaos, confusion and tragedy like this and we don’t learn anything or we don’t educate anyone moving forward, we’ve wasted a huge opportunity.” – Dee -1

In one portion of the video interview, Dee-1 pauses after sharing that he used to sell Cds at the same store where Alton Sterling was shot by the police while also selling Cds.
