Dee-1 Spits New Bars On Sway In The Morning!

On the heels of releasing his long-awaited album, Slingshot David, a follow up to his Slingshot David Mixtape released last summer which featured Lupe Fiasco and Big K.R.I.T, New Orleans native Dee-1 stopped by Sway in the Morning to promote the new project .   It’s customary for host Sway to invite and in some cases challenge his guests, those that are rappers, to rap or “freestyle” over 5 random beats and this is called the 5 Fingers of Death.  Dee-1’s visit was no exception; Sway asked if he would step up to the challenge and step up he did.

His energy and joy from beginning to end was contagious.  He didn’t compromise who he was and represented Christ well with lines like, “I aint at the top but I’m climbing up the ladder, so I work like a slave but I serve the right master, faster been on my grizzy but learning patience, gather wisdom by reading Corinthians Galatians, natural disasters plaguing all the nations, these the times they was talking bout in Revelations.”

The response from Sway, his co-host Heather B. and even callers was that of overwhelming approval.
