Dove Awards Nominees Announced!
The 48th annual Dove Awards is scheduled for October 17th in Nashville, TN. The full list of nominees were recently announced live on Facebook. Watch the video below to see the full announcement.
Among the list of nominees are a host of new faces who are in major categories for the first time! For example, Gospel artist Bri Babineaux and CHH duo Social Club Misfits are up for New Artist of the Year. Hollyn (along with Andy Mineo and Steven Malcolm) are in line to win Hip Hop/Pop song of the year for their single “Party In The Hills.”
After a 10+ year hiatus from releasing new music, CeCe Winans teamed up with her son to create her latest project which hit the ground running! We’re not surprised to see her make the list! Among others, Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, and newcomers Todd Dulaney and Travis Greene are continuing to hold things down in the gospel genre.
For the position of Artist of the Year, Chris Tomlin, Hillsong United, For King and Country and more are all in line to win.
The Dove Awards have continued to do an excellent job showcasing a variety of genre styles while also honoring the producers and writers behind the scenes. In addition to music, top films are also listed among their list of nominees.
