Is The Christian Music Industry Drifting? KB and Other Artists Speak Up:

Published

Is the Christian industry as a whole drifting?  Have we become cold and turned God into a business?  If this is happening, what role do we each individually play in that falling away?  Legacy Disciple recently released a mini-documentary exploring this topic.  In the mini-doc below, KB uses his song “The Art of Drifting” as the focal point for this discussion.  From there, KB, Joseph Solomon and others get honest about personal challenges, drifting, the need for taking an honest look within.

After KB, Joseph Solomon and others get personal sharing their own stories, KB then challenges us by speaking on the importance of recognizing grace, accepting it, but not abusing it:

“Grace is not mine to abuse, grace is mine to restore, to  heal, to empower… But, it is not mine to use as a medium to do the very thing that is what God died for.  God values repentance over faithfulness.  There’s something powerful about repenting in even the darkest and most far gone situations.  That’s what ultimately I want us to sit with… this is serious…  You [we] have to take the sin serious and you have to take the restoration serious.”  – KB

But, let’s circle back to the main question.  Is the Christian industry as a whole drifting?  Have we become cold and turned God into a business?  If so, what role do each of us play in this story?  KB brings a challenge to us all in his above message.    Watch and comment below to let us know your thoughts.
