ArtSoul Spotlight: Maddie Rey releases new single, “Don’t Sleep On Me”+ Signs with RMG Amplify

Christian artist Maddie Rey is ending her Summer season with a new single “Don’t Sleep On Me” featuring rapper Steven Malcolm. The latest single by the 20-year-old Christian artist was released this week for her fans affectionately named Dwellers and growing audience.

Maddie Rey’s fan base might grow even more given her new distribution deal with Reflection Music Group (RMG) Amplify. The main label (RMG) being home to artists like Derek Minor, Canon, and more. She shared the great news last week on her Instagram:

Maddie Rey wears many hats including praise and worship leader, youth speaker, dancer, YouTube influencer and much more. Her music’s sound blends elements of rock, pop and hip hop, accompanying her talented vocals with her own rap lyrics as well. Maddie Rey’s main message with her music and ministry is to “lead a generation to the throne of God where they can encounter Him and experience Him like never before!”

Growing up in the church Maddie loved music at a young age, as well as reaching those in her generation. Her anchor scripture in ministry is Psalm 27:4:

“One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.”

As a pastor’s kid, Maddie Rey shares that young people don’t have to leave the church, but you can dwell in the house of the Lord. This is such a vital message in a time when more youth and young adults are not finding their personal connection to God or don’t have a testimony of their own, and go out into the secular world to find it. To that Maddie shares: “The Greatest Testimony you can ever have to say [is] that I’ve grown up in the church and never walked away from God, ever since I accepted Jesus I’ve decided to live my life completely for Him using my gifts and talents to glorify Him.”
