Today we recap the most current release from CW Allen.  We close it out by giving you a replay of CW’s in depth interview with one of our partnering DJs, DJ WadeO who you can hear right here on ArtSoulRadio.com every Wednesday and Thrursday!

You may heard CW Allen as one of the hosts of the “Off The Record” radio show right here on ArtSoul Radio. But, he is an artist first!  CW is an accomplished hip hop artist, youth advocate, and an entrepreneur!  Although CW has a passion for music and currently carries a few different projects under his belt, you will find him spending the bulk of his time working with youth on the south side of Chicago via Sunshine Ministries.  When he’s not working in his neighborhood, you’ll catch him touring and promoting his most current album, “We On”.

This Cleveland native knows a thing or two about the hard knocks that life can deliver.  He brings that sensitivity into every song throughout this album as he shares his story, and his passions for both music and ministry.

“I really love creating a musical experience for my listeners. “We On, Playing My Part, and I’m Ready speak to my struggles with the music industry and my career thus far.  My discomforts with death and social injustices in my community are touched on in I’m Leaving and Crazy.  Lastly, I reflect on my internal thoughts in Live It, I’m Ready and LFAL.”   – CW Allen

Listening to this album, you’ll get acquainted with CW’s transparency regarding his passions and frustrations, but you’ll find that he’s just as vocal on every track when speaking to the abiding faith of the artist as he shares his belief that even a world as crazy as this, is not without hope.
