Artist Tauren Wells gets real on authentic worship, his solo album and fall tour

Christian singer Tauren Wells has embarked on a new chapter musically as a solo artist with a debut album, new video and a tour this fall.

Tauren Wells is not new to the music scene. He was lead singer of the Grammy nominated Christian pop rock band Royal Tailor from 2004 to 2015. Tauren released his first solo album in 2017, Hills and Valleys, which earned Grammy nominations for Best Contemporary Christian Performance/Song and Contemporary Christian Album of the Year.

From this album comes his latest music video for “Known,” reflective of his thoughts of being genuine on and off stage, choosing to serve Jesus as his primary audience.

The calm, acoustic feel of the song’s intro may remind you of something along the lines of Ed Sheeran, but Tauren’s message is about the sweet unconditional love of Father God:

“It’s so like You to keep pursuing
It’s so like me to go astray
But You guard my heart with Your truth
A kind of love that’s bullet proof
And I surrender to Your kindness”

He shared similar sentiments in a recent interview on Harvest Bible Chapel‘s YouTube channel: “When I step up on stage, I have a calling and I have a purpose, but I don’t have to perform…” in regards to how he and we address our motivations in worship and our faith walk with God.

If you haven’t heard his single “Known” playing on the radio waves this summer, you have a chance to catch him perform his new music live along with Riley Clemmons and Danny Gokey in The Hope Encounter Tour, kicking off  September 2018. You can get his album Hills and Valleys, with features including Hollyn, Davies, and KB, now, available everywhere!
