Kirk Franklin Gives Moving Speech & Prayer for Our Nation at The Dove Awards
The 2016 Dove Awards were filled with many great performances, but the moment that Kirk Franklin came to the stage to accept his award as Gospel Artist of The Year, stood out the most. Instead of focusing on his award, he used his time on stage to address and pray for the church and our nation.
Addressing the current chaos happening within our nation today, Kirk makes a statement directed to the church,
“I do not like that the world is controlling the narrative. It should be US controlling the narrative”
– Kirk Franklin
He goes on to close in a prayer that brings everyone to their feet.
