Music Video Highlight: Propaganda’s “Darkie”
Humble Beast recording artist, Propaganda just released the new video for his song “Darkie” featuring Jackie Hill Perry and Micah Bournes.
The song talks about his former desire to look more racially ambiguous due to the stigma placed on those with darker skin. He also expresses the plight of colorism within the black community and how it has negatively impacted how people interact with each other. The images in the video capture the emotions associated with this issue as a young black man struggles being comfortable in his own dark skin.
