Kirk Franklin Releases New Single & Video: “My World Needs You”

On Monday January 9th, Kirk Franklin released a new lyric video for his latest single, “My World Needs You Right Now” from his 2016 album, Losing My Religion. The song features vocals from Sarah Reeves, Tasha Cobbs, and Tamela Mann, and premiered on BET.com.

This single releases at a perfect time as our world is currently facing a host of challenges including killings in Syria, terrorist attacks, inner city violence and challenges in race relations in the United States, and much more.  The single also released one day shy of President Obama’s Farewell speech, which will soon be followed by a transition of power to a new President of the United States.  Conversations on social media and in real life surrounding all of these topics and more seem to be at an all-time high.  This song focuses on the ills that are plaguing the world and our desperate need for God in the midst of those situations.
