Tamera Mowry Housley and her husband shared their love story- the ups, the downs, and everything in between. From meeting through their Pepperdine professor, to their first kiss, their break up and marriage proposal. With Valentines Day almost around the corner, this couple chose the perfect time to give us all the inside scoop on how they fell in love and became the Housleys!

Every relationship is different and they don’t always resemble a hallmark movie. Also, it’s only natural that the longer a relationship lasts, the more opportunity for challenges to arise. Tamera and Adam speak candidly about their relationship and real life love story! Being in a long term relationship, Tamera and Adam had their share of challenges which included a break up. But, even in that time apart, they couldn’t shake their feelings for each other and eventually got back together in 2010. After dating for almost 6 years, Adam proposed during their trip to Italy. Lucky for him she still said yes! They have been happily married for over 8 years and have two children.

After announcing their engagement, the couple faced quite a bit of public scrutiny for being in an interracial relationship. It was all very surprising and painful to the couple. Tamera was accused of not being black enough for choosing to marry a white man. Also, Adam was later accused of not liking African Americans because of his affiliation with a certain TV network at the time. None of the anger or hatred made sense to either of them. Coming from a biracial family with a white Father, Tamera responded to the public hatred by saying that she’s proud of her relationship with Adam because it was built on real love. It’s their true love that helped them get through every challenge they faced in their relationship and led them to where they are today. They have a beautiful story. Watch the videos attached to this article to learn more about the details of their love story and be inspired.

Michael B. Jordan (“Black Panther,” “Creed,” “Creed II”) and Oscar winners Jamie Foxx (“Ray,” “Baby Driver,” “Django: Unchained”) and Brie Larson (“Room,” “The Glass Castle,” “Captain Marvel”) star in the up and coming film “Just Mercy” which is based on the autobiography of World-renowned civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson works to free a wrongly condemned death row prisoner.

Releasing in theaters nationwide on January 10, 2020, this inspiring drama brings one of the most important stories of our time to the big screen. Award-winning filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton (“The Glass Castle,” “Short Term 12”) directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote, based on the award-winning nonfiction bestseller by Bryan Stevenson.

Produced by Michael B. Jordan, this powerful and thought-provoking film follows young lawyer Bryan Stevenson (Jordan) and his history-making battle for justice. After graduating from Harvard, Bryan might have had his pick of lucrative jobs. Instead, he heads to Alabama to defend those wrongly condemned, with the support of local advocate Eva Ansley (Larson).

One of his first, and most incendiary, cases is that of Walter McMillian (Foxx,) who, in 1987, was sentenced to die for the notorious murder of an 18-year-old girl, despite a preponderance of evidence proving his innocence and the fact that the only testimony against him came from a criminal with a motive to lie. In the years that follow, Bryan becomes embroiled in a labyrinth of legal and political maneuverings and overt and unabashed racism as he fights for Walter, and others like him, with the odds-and the system-stacked against them.

In September of 2019, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx appeared on The Tonight’s Show with Jimmy Fallon to discuss teaming up for the coming film which was inspired by the true story of Bryan Stevenson. Watch as they break down how they handled a particularly dramatic emotional courtroom scene to bring the injustice of Walter McMillian to life.

“Just Mercy” will be in theaters nationwide on January 10, 2020 and distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. (This film has been rated PG-13 for thematic content, including some racial epithets.)
